Who We Are Looking For:

Valto is searching for a Customer Service Representative to be based out of Channahon, IL, who is fluent in speaking, reading, writing in Spanish. Reporting to Customer Service Manager, this person will be responsible for providing exceptional service and support to customers by managing orders, responding to inquiries, communicating product information, and ensuring a seamless customer experience from order entry through delivery. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, sales, operations, and internal departments to ensure customer needs are met accurately, efficiently, and professionally.

The ideal candidate will bring 5–7 years of customer service experience and a minimum of an associate’s degree in business or a related field. We are seeking someone who will not only provide exceptional customer support, but also take ownership, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, challenge the status quo, and collaborate across teams to strengthen processes and drive meaningful business results.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships with customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
  • Accurately process customer orders, pricing requests, quotations, and account information while ensuring order details are entered and managed in a timely manner.
  • Communicate product information, availability, pricing, and application guidance to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Monitor order fulfillment, shipment status, and delivery performance to ensure customers remain informed throughout the order lifecycle.
  • Maintain customer data, records, documentation, electronic orders, and CRM information while ensuring accuracy and organization.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Shipping, and other departments to resolve customer concerns, improve processes, and support company objectives.

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent customer service experience may be considered.
  • Previous customer service, order management, sales support, account management, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, with strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills required to effectively support our Spanish-speaking customers, ensure clear and accurate communication, and build positive relationships with both customers and internal teams.
  • Experience working with CRM systems, order entry systems, Microsoft Office applications, and business software programs. Experience with AS400 and Salesforce is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple customer requests and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to learn technical product information, pricing structures, and business processes while supporting customer needs and company goals.

Office/Standard Indoor Environment - This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly sit, stand, walk, and move throughout office environments during the workday.
  • Frequently use computers, telephones, headsets, CRM systems, and office equipment to communicate with customers and process transactions.
  • Must possess sufficient vision, hearing, communication skills, and manual dexterity to review customer information, manage orders, prepare quotations, and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry office supplies, files, marketing materials, or customer documentation.
  • May occasionally visit manufacturing, warehouse, or shipping areas to support customer inquiries, product knowledge, or operational coordination. Appropriate PPE may be required in these environments.
  • Must be capable of managing multiple priorities, maintaining accuracy, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced business environment.
