LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant for a well-established law firm in Jacksonville, Florida. This position will support a busy litigation practice with a strong emphasis on insurance defense matters. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of litigation legal assistant experience, including experience supporting attorneys in insurance defense cases.
Responsibilities- Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys throughout all phases of litigation
- Prepare, draft, revise, and file legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence
- Coordinate and manage attorney calendars, deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial schedules
- Assist with discovery, document production, and case management
- Maintain electronic and physical case files
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and vendors
- Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and other materials for hearings and trial preparation
- Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
Qualifications- Minimum of 2 years of litigation legal assistant experience
- Insurance defense experience is required
- Strong knowledge of Florida state court filing procedures
- Experience managing multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff
