Machine Assistant

The Machine Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the operation and upkeep of industrial machines and general mechanical tools. Responsible for ensuring smooth equipment function and adherence to safety standards, this position supports maintenance activities and contributes to quality inspections. The role involves working various shifts, including day and night, and reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial machines and general mechanical tools safely and efficiently
• Assist in routine maintenance and repairs of equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
• Perform quality inspections to verify product and process standards
• Handle and manage materials required for production and maintenance tasks

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in equipment operation

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of machinery operation
• Forklift and/or Skid-steer skills preferred
• Strong adherence to safety protocols
• Mechanical aptitude with an eye for detail
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work well within a team
• Strong problem-solving capabilities
