Responsibilities / Activities:
- Set up and loading of spindle / multi-spindle machines
- Proper selection, installation and adjustment of tooling
- Coordinate withqualitycontrol tocheckpartsandensurepropermachineset up
- Operate machineto ensure quality production; performmachineadjustments as needed.
- Perform independent quality checks to ensure standards are met and products are within tolerance
- Use of computerduring operation to update quality control procedure documents
- Tumblepartsfor eliminatingbursand chips asneeded
- Maintainthe machinein good working order
Requirements:
- Must have multipleyearsof experienceindrillingandtapping
- Able to read and understand blueprints
- Must be able to understand quality requirements per writtenand verbalinstructions
- Able to use and understand standard measuring devices & equipment:calipers,micrometers, pitch micrometers, hardness testers, threadgages,andvariousspecialized hand gages aswellas comparators.
- Manualdexterityformachine loading andadjustments
- Lifting a maximum of 50lbs.severaltimes per week
- Abilitytostandatleast6hoursa day
- Adequatehearingtobeableto hearverbalinstructions
- Hasclear eye vision atleast20/40 (wearing glasses)in ordertoadequatelyinspectparts(visionwithin3 feetmust beexcellent)
- Ability towalk atleast 1/2mileper day(insideshop
