Our busy high volume service department has an opening for an experienced Assistant Service Manager - Shop Foreman - Dispatcher.
The individual will be responsible for assisting the Service Manager in running an efficient and profitable service department. You would be responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling automotive service work and for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, but may not be limited to:
- Works with the Service Manager to meet goals and objectives set for the department.
- Monitors and controls the performance of the department using appropriate reports, tracking systems, and surveys
- Ensures that the technicians’ time is consistently managed.
- Maintains open communications and good relationships with other service department personnel. Strives for teamwork within the department and with all other departments in the dealership.
- Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Helps to address any customer issues before the customer’s vehicle leaves the shop
- Implements and maintains an effective dispatch system.
- Schedules shop work to facilitate maximum productivity in accordance with dealership policy and the technician skill level required.
- Opens and closes repair orders.
- Helps to ensure the safety of all employees
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Assists with Supervising the Service Advisors and Auto Technicians
- Assisting with the hiring, training, motivating and monitoring the performance of all service department staff
