About Lush Popcorn
At Lush Popcorn, quality starts with the product. We are looking for a dependable, focused, and detail-oriented Popcorn Cook to prepare our gourmet popcorn from scratch while maintaining high standards for taste, consistency, food safety, and presentation.
This is a hands-on production role in a hot, active, and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with food, can follow recipes precisely, stays organized, and takes pride in producing a consistent, high-quality product.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare gourmet popcorn from scratch by accurately following recipes, measurements, and production procedures
- Operate popcorn-making equipment and other food production tools safely and correctly
- Monitor cooking times, temperatures, ingredients, and batch quality to ensure consistency
- Measure and portion ingredients accurately
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet Lush Popcorn’s quality standards
- Bag, label, package, and prepare finished popcorn for retail, online, and wholesale orders
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and quality control requirements
- Clean and sanitize cooking equipment, utensils, workstations, and production areas
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked production space
- Track ingredients, supplies, finished products, and production needs
- Assist with inventory management and communicate when ingredients or supplies are running low
- Help fulfill customer, online, wholesale, and special orders accurately and on time
- Follow store policies, procedures, recipes, and production standards
- Work independently and with team members to meet daily production goals
- Assist with other shop duties as needed to support smooth operations
What We’re Looking For
- Ability to read, understand, and accurately follow recipes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Previous cooking, kitchen, food production, bakery, manufacturing, or food service experience preferred
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality and accuracy
- Dependable, responsible, and able to take initiative
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Fast learner with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move heavier ingredients, supplies, and products as required
- Comfortable working around heat and in a fast-paced production environment
- Flexibility to work based on business needs, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
