About the role

TransForm Automotive, an Amsted Automotive company, is looking for motivated Press Operators to join our team! If you enjoy hands-on work, operating equipment, being part of a team, and contributing to high-quality automotive components, we'd love to hear from you.

This role is responsible for setting up and operating stamping presses, transfer systems, and feeders while helping us achieve safety, quality, and production goals.

What you’ll do

As a Press Operator, you'll play an important role in keeping our production lines running efficiently and safely.

  • Operating stamping presses, transfer systems, feeders, and related equipment
  • Assisting with die setups and production changeovers
  • Monitoring production and meeting daily output goals
  • Inspecting parts to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Performing quality checks using fixtures and measurement tools
  • Identifying and reporting equipment or quality concerns
  • Maintaining accurate production and labeling documentation
  • Supporting Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participating in waste-reduction and process improvement activities
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment using 5S principles
  • Supporting company goals and helping drive operational excellence

What We're Looking For

We're seeking dependable team players who are safety-conscious, quality-focused, and ready to make an impact.

What you need to succeed

  • At least 3 months of experience with press and feeder operations
  • Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use machine control panels
  • Knowledge of quality and environmental standards (IATF 16949, ISO 14001, Q1)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

This is a hands-on manufacturing role that may require:

  • Standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements throughout the shift
  • Frequently lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Working overtime when needed
  • Exposure to typical manufacturing noise levels
