Position Overview
We are looking for a dependable, safety-minded Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience operating heavy machinery and is comfortable working around scrap metal, vehicles, and industrial materials.
Responsibilities
Safely operate Grapple Crane (heavy equipment)
Load, unload, move, and sort scrap metal and materials
Load Ferrous & Non Ferrous Material
Maintain organized material piles and work areas
Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
Report mechanical problems
Follow all company safety procedures
Assist with general yard operations when needed
Maintain a safe work environment
Qualifications
Previous heavy equipment operating preferred 5 year's experience
Experience with excavators, loaders, skid steers, or similar equipment
Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Mechanical aptitude is a plus
Scrap yard, construction, demolition, excavation, or recycling experience is a plus
CDL is preferred but not required
