Salary: $60,000 +per year
A well-established company located in Pittsburgh’s North Hills has an immediate opening for an experiencedAccountant/Bookkeeperto join our team.
This is a full-time, in-office position.We are looking for a dependable and experienced accounting professional who is confident working independently, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and values accuracy and organization.
The Accountant will play an important role in the company’s day-to-day financial operations, month-end closing process, financial reporting, and tax-related responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background along with proficiency inQuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities
The Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting and financial functions, including:
- Manage accounts payable
- Balance and reconcile daily deposits
- Review payroll and record necessary journal entries
- Review and record daily bank transactions
- Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns
- Prepare and file quarterly local tax returns as needed
- Prepare monthly and other necessary journal entries
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Post monthly accruals as needed
- Manage the month-end closing process
- Prepare financial statements and related reports
- Review and analyze financial information for accuracy
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Assist with additional accounting and financial projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Previous professional accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports
- Familiarity with tax filings and regulatory reporting requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
