Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Cardiology
Location:Trenton, NJ
Type:Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Day Shift
No weekends or on call
Salary:$130,000–$140,000/year + merit-based bonus opportunities
Seeking an experiencedNurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantwith inpatient cardiology and critical care experience.
Responsibilities
- Independently evaluate, diagnose, and manage cardiac patients
- Provide inpatient cardiology care for 10–15 patients/day
- Perform exams and develop treatment plans
- Interpret EKGs
- Prescribe medications and coordinate cardiac care
- Perform and interpret cardiac stress testing; training available
- Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams
- Coordinate referrals and continuity of care
- Maintain clinical documentation
- Participate in credentialing and insurance enrollment
Required Qualifications
- Current NJ NP or PA license
- Active NJ DEA, CDS, and applicable certifications
- 2+ years of cardiology experience as an NP/PA
- Independent cardiac patient evaluation and treatment experience
- Strong EKG interpretation skills
- Prior critical care experience required
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Independent cardiac stress testing experience
- Hospitalist experience with significant cardiac exposure
- Familiarity with credentialing and payer enrollment
