We are seeking an individual with automotive repair experience and strong communication skills to assist customers with vehicle questions by telephone. This remote role involves gathering information about automotive concerns, explaining potential causes, and helping customers understand appropriate next steps for service.

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephone inquiries about vehicle problems, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Gather details about symptoms, warning lights, vehicle history, and previous repairs.
  • Explain automotive systems and service recommendations in clear, understandable language.
  • Help customers understand repair estimates and maintenance needs.
  • Identify concerns requiring an in-person inspection or professional service.
  • Document customer conversations and coordinate follow-up as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience as an auto mechanic, automotive technician, or knowledgeable automotive service advisor.
  • Understanding of vehicle systems, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
  • Professional telephone manner and strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to explain technical information clearly and patiently.
  • Basic computer skills and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Reliable internet access and a quiet workspace for customer calls.
