Role Description This is an on-site, contract role for a Production Maintenance Supervisor based in Indianapolis, IN. The Production Maintenance Supervisor oversees daily maintenance activities on production and plant equipment to support consistent, safe, and efficient operations. Responsibilities include assigning and monitoring work orders, supervising maintenance technicians, coordinating scheduled and unscheduled repairs, and ensuring proper use of tools and parts. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, collaborating with production leadership to minimize downtime, and maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation. The supervisor also helps support safety programs, preventive maintenance plans, and continuous improvement initiatives within the facility.

Qualifications

  • Strong Equipment Maintenance skills, including hands-on experience with production machinery and support systems.
  • Demonstrated Supervisory Skills, with experience leading maintenance teams and coordinating daily workload and priorities.
  • Experience in Production Maintenance, focusing on minimizing downtime and optimizing equipment performance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Background in Plant Maintenance, including facility systems, utilities, and general building maintenance.
  • Proficient Troubleshooting abilities for mechanical, electrical, and control issues on production equipment.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing or regulated production environments and related safety and quality standards is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on-site in Indianapolis, IN, including flexible hours or shifts as needed to support production.
  • Relevant technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance, manufacturing technology, or a related field is beneficial; prior experience in a similar supervisory maintenance role is strongly preferred.
