REMOTE Accounts Receivable Representative

Job Title: REMOTE* A/R Representative

*Candidates must be located in a State in an Eastern or Central timezone*

Responsibilities/ Job Duties:

Full-Cycle A/R & Denial Management

• Manage assigned facility accounts through the complete revenue cycle, including claim rejections, insurance denials, payment postings, credit balances, and refunds.
• Prepare and submit detailed appeals, reconsiderations, and supporting documentation utilizing strong clinical and contractual rationale.
• Work basic-to-complex claim edits, verify eligibility, and re-submit corrected claims.
• Address credit balances, calculate accurate adjustments, and process account refunds.

Payer & Interdepartmental Collaboration

• Communicate with ASC facilities, physician offices, coders, and front-end teams to resolve root-cause upstream billing issues.
• Serve as a functional resource/subject matter expert for junior account reps and assist with onboarding/training as needed.
• Identify systemic payer issues and escalate workflow bottlenecks with actionable insights to management.

Patient Account Support & Collections

• Handle incoming patient calls regarding billing questions, account balances, and explanation of benefits (EOB) inquiries.
• Generate standard patient statements and review delinquent accounts for final notices or external collection agency transfer.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience working end-to-end full-cycle AR (candidates solely handling single tasks like Medicare denials will not qualify)
• Experience handling appeals & credit funds
• Waystar clearinghouse experience (highly preferred)

Schedule/ Shift:

Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm/8am-4:30pm/8:30am-5pm EST (flexibility to pick one of these shifts)
