Position Summary:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This role also provides oversight for tax coordination activities, including working with internal teams and external tax advisors to support compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage general accounting functions, including general ledger, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures
- Coordinate tax-related activities with external tax firms, auditors, and internal stakeholders
- Support audits by preparing schedules, responding to requests, and ensuring documentation is complete and accurate
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and analyze financial results for trends or discrepancies
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reporting accuracy, and process efficiency
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive and relevant accounting experience
- CPA or CPA-track preferred
