Senior Data Center Solutions Architect
Remote - NYC area | $190k - $260k+ Total Compensation
We are working with a leading technology solutions provider looking to add an experienced Senior Data Center Solutions Architect to the team. The company delivers solutions across networking, cybersecurity, data center, hybrid cloud, professional services and managed services, combining the resources and technical capabilities of a larger provider with the accessibility, autonomy and customer focus of a more agile organization.
The Data Center practice works across a broad range of technologies and manufacturers, helping customers modernize and optimize their infrastructure across storage, data protection, compute, virtualization, hyperconverged infrastructure and hybrid cloud. Solutions Architects have direct access to experienced engineering, sales and leadership teams while maintaining the flexibility to design and recommend solutions based on each customer’s environment and technical requirements.
This is a customer-facing Solutions Architect role supporting customers throughout the NYC Metro area, with a particular emphasis on enterprise storage and data protection. You’ll work directly with customers and Account Executives throughout the sales process, leading discovery, evaluating existing environments, designing solutions and presenting technical recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery and solution design for Data Center opportunities
- Work directly with customers to understand existing environments, technical challenges, business requirements and future initiatives
- Architect and position solutions across storage, backup/data protection, compute, virtualization, HCI and hybrid cloud environments
- Develop technical architectures, configurations, proposals and statements of work
- Present solutions and technical recommendations to technical teams and business stakeholders
- Partner closely with Account Executives throughout the sales process
- Assist with technical presentations, demonstrations, evaluations and proof-of-concept engagements
- Maintain knowledge across multiple Data Center manufacturers and emerging technologies
Requirements
- Experience in a customer-facing Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer or Pre-Sales Engineering role
- Broad experience across enterprise Data Center infrastructure with particular strength around storage and data protection
- Strong experience with technologies from Dell EMC, Rubrik, Cohesity, Pure Storage, NetApp, or similar manufacturers
- Experience across additional areas including compute, virtualization, HCI, backup/recovery and hybrid cloud infrastructure
- Ability to lead technical discovery and translate customer requirements into complete solution designs
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage technical teams and business stakeholders
- Previous experience within a VAR, MSP, Systems Integrator or technology manufacturer environment preferred
- Based in the NYC Metro / Tri-State area with the ability to travel regionally for customer meetings as needed
