POSITION SUMMARY

Texas Inter-Faith Management/40i is a non-profit organization affiliated with The Inter-Faith Group (IFG), which is an alliance of seven independently operated non-profits that share a collective mission to create quality affordable housing and support services to families. The Leasing Consultant will support the day-to-day operations of the community and assist the Property Manager with resident satisfaction, retention, leasing, renewals, rent collection, and other resident lifecycle activities. This position is expected to thrive in a changing environment, maintain strong customer service standards, and respond positively to unpredictable situations or challenges that may arise throughout the course of their work responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shift.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Property Manager with the day-to-day operations of the property, including resident satisfaction, retention, and full resident lifecycle activities.
  • Perform bookkeeping responsibilities, including rent collection, delinquency, and move-out statements.
  • Lease available apartment homes as needed.
  • Assist prospective residents throughout the leasing process.
  • Renew existing leases.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate with residents, prospective residents, employees, vendors, and supervisors in both written and verbal form.
  • Maintain high customer service standards when interacting with residents and prospective residents.
  • Conduct market research and monitor leasing activity.
  • Assist with business outreach marketing, resident functions, and other promotional programs.
  • Comply with all company policies and applicable health and safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with Fair Housing laws and regulations.
  • Support property operations as directed by the Property Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of affordable property management experience.
  • Strong understanding of Low-Income Housing, HUD, Vouchers, and other funding sources, as well as compliance requirements related to affordable housing.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, prospective residents, vendors, supervisors, and other employees.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism while handling resident and leasing-related matters.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrates initiative and a sense of urgency in completing daily responsibilities and meeting deadlines.
  • Must possess and maintain a reliable vehicle.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record as a condition of employment.
