Job Description
We are looking for a Systems Administrator to support and enhance a growing hybrid infrastructure environment in Beaumont, Texas. This Long-term Contract position blends hands-on systems administration with project-based engineering work, making it ideal for someone who can manage daily operations while contributing to technical planning. The role supports a multi-site environment with regular on-site collaboration and offers the opportunity to work across server, network, and security initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day administration of Windows-based server environments, ensuring reliability, performance, and operational stability.
• Support virtualized infrastructure across VMware clusters and assist with ongoing improvements to datacenter systems.
• Contribute to Azure infrastructure expansion by helping plan, deploy, and maintain cloud-based resources and services.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to define technical scope, recommend practical solutions, and assist with infrastructure architecture decisions.
• Oversee network administration activities in a Meraki environment while supporting the rollout of cloud-managed switching platforms.
• Participate in infrastructure modernization efforts, including server, network, and security-related projects across multiple locations.
• Help execute technology lifecycle initiatives such as hardware refreshes, platform upgrades, and the planned transition away from VMware.
• Provide on-site and cross-site support in a hybrid work setting, including routine travel between facilities as needed.• Hands-on experience administering Active Directory in an enterprise environment.
• Strong background supporting Microsoft Windows Server systems and core server infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Windows 10 desktop support and endpoint administration.
• Experience working with Dell Technologies hardware in server or datacenter environments.
• Familiarity with Citrix technologies and supporting virtual application or desktop environments.
• Working knowledge of virtualization platforms, preferably VMware, within production environments.
• Exposure to Azure infrastructure services and an interest in contributing to cloud-focused projects.
