Production Associate – Reclaim Grinder Operator

Shift:Monday–Friday, 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.
Pay: $19.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Kelly Services is seeking aProduction Associate – Reclaim Grinder Operatorto safely manage and operate reclaim grinding equipment in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will follow plant and safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, and support end-of-line production operations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Comply with all plant rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Follow all safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
  • Maintain reliable daily attendance in accordance with the plant attendance policy.
  • Maintain good housekeeping throughout all areas of the plant.
  • Know the locations of all jam-up buttons and emergency-stop buttons.
  • Use the phone paging system as required.
  • Operate board grinders.
  • Prepare and feed scrap products into grinding equipment.
  • Operate compactor equipment and perform related tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Required Qualifications and Physical Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to routinely lift up to55 poundswithout assistance.
  • Ability to work up to12 or more hoursin a hot or cold manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to continuously walk and stand on a concrete floor for up to 12 hours.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to use cleaning equipment and tools for housekeeping duties while following all safety requirements.
  • Ability to properly wear required personal protective equipment, including:
    • Steel-toed shoes
    • Eye protection, such as safety glasses, goggles, or a face mask
    • Hearing protection
    • Long-sleeved shirt with shirt tail tucked in, as required for specific tasks
Work Environment

This position is performed in a manufacturing environment that may involve extended periods of standing and walking, concrete flooring, hot or cold temperatures, loud equipment, and physical handling of materials. Employees must follow all safety procedures and use required PPE at all times.
