This Field Service Engineer role focuses on commissioning and supporting building automation systems for large data centers in LaPorte, IN and Elkhart, IN. You work on advanced chiller plant controls, HVAC, energy monitoring, demand response, lighting, indoor air quality, humidity, temperature, and elevator performance systems. Using an iPad and provided drawing packages, you ensure systems are configured correctly, perform diagnostics, and support site startups and commissioning activities for direct digital control (DDC) equipment. The role offers strong technical growth, structured training, and clear career progression across multiple Field Engineer levels and into supervisory and project management paths.
ResponsibilitiesThe role is primarily based at data centers located in LaPorte, IN and Elkhart, IN, with initial travel to other customer sites for the first three to five months for training and shadowing. During training, you typically work a standard schedule of five days per week. Once the Indiana data centers are fully active, the schedule may expand to six or seven days per week depending on project demands. You work with advanced building automation technologies, including chiller plant controls, HVAC systems, energy monitoring, demand response, lighting, indoor air quality, humidity and temperature control, and elevator performance monitoring. You use an iPad, a company-provided laptop, and standard field tools such as electrical multimeters to perform diagnostics, commissioning, and system optimization. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $55.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
