Job Title: A&P Mechanic

Job Description

As an Aviation Mechanic, you will work on aircraft from nose to tail, gaining unique expertise that sets you apart in the field. You will perform maintenance on aircraft following company policies, manufacturer’s recommendations, and Federal Aviation Regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all manner of maintenance on aircraft in accordance with company policy, manufacturer’s recommendations, and Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair airframe and powerplant components and systems.
  • Document work completed per company procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Tow aircraft and perform minor maintenance on Ground Support Equipment (GSE) as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Valid FAA Aircraft Mechanic certificate with Airframe & Powerplant ratings.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Eligibility to work in the US.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively with other employees.
  • Interpretation of documents such as policy, repair, and safety manuals.
  • Ability to work various shifts.
  • Positive disposition and professional attitude and appearance.
  • Ability to gain airport access badge.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment DOT drug screening and other required checks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience working on Saab 340B, Embraer 120, Beechcraft 1900, and Beechcraft 99 or similar aircraft.
  • Aviation schooling experience.
  • Experience with Beechcraft 99, B1900, Embraer EMB120, and Saab 340 aircraft preferred.
  • Experience with GE T700/CT7, PT6A, PW118, and TPE331 series powerplants preferred.
  • Experience within a fast-paced, scheduled maintenance operation.
  • Mechanical aptitude in troubleshooting, heavy maintenance, blueprint reading, quality check, and inspection.
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grapevine, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
