Job Description

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Building Blocks Therapy – Avon, OH

Are you a playful, empathetic, and dedicated BCBA looking for a supportive clinic environment with a truly manageable caseload?

At Building Blocks Therapy, we are looking for a Full-Time BCBA (or BCaBA) to join our team in Avon. We pride ourselves on providing compassionate, trauma-informed care and staying up-to-date with modern ABA research. If you are passionate about approaches like NDBI and Dr. Greg Hanley’s SBT/PFA, we want to hear from you!

Why You’ll Love Working With Us: We know that preventing burnout is key to providing excellent care. We offer a supportive culture and standout perks:

  • Manageable Caseloads: Cap your caseload at just 8-9 clients.
  • Flexibility: Enjoy 1 flexible Work-From-Home day. 35 hours week.
  • Make your own schedule.
  • Time Off: Generous PTO and UPTO (Unpaid Time Off) policies. Paid Holidays.
  • Financial Perks: Company-matched benefits and performance-based bonus systems.
  • Growth & Learning: Annual CEU allowance and ongoing professional development (including training in NDBI, IISCA/PFA, Feeding, and Sleep).

What You Will Do:

  • Assess & Plan: Conduct assessments (including VB-MAPP, ESDM, Jasper, PEAK, Vineland, and IISCA/PFA) and write timely, effective Treatment and Behavior Plans.
  • Supervise & Mentor: Provide daily supervision to clients and RBTs. Write supervision notes, and lead team trainings/buildings to foster staff growth.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with SLPs, OTs, PTs, schools, and our Clinical Directors to ensure best outcomes for our clients.
  • Train Families: Lead parent training sessions on a weekly or bi-weekly basis (center-based or in-home as needed).
  • Manage Care: Complete weekly data reviews, program updates, and handle insurance reviews/calls.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Active BCBA or BCaBA certification
  • Previous experience working directly with individuals with Autism.
  • A strong desire to stay current on ABA research and a willingness to undergo specific training (PCM, NDBI, and Dr. Greg Hanley's approach).
  • Excellent time-management skills to balance client authorizations and RBT oversight.
  • Strong communication skills and an openness to receiving and applying ongoing feedback.
  • A highly playful, empathetic demeanor when working with children.
