Credit Analyst

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Analyst to join our Business Lending Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing creditworthiness, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to support lending decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and the ability to conduct thorough cash flow analyses and underwriting processes. The Credit Analyst will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our lending operations while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive data collection to evaluate the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses.
• Perform cash flow analysis to assess the financial health of applicants.
• Engage in underwriting processes by reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and other relevant documents.
• Utilize financial modeling techniques to forecast potential risks and returns associated with lending decisions.
• Assist as a backup to the Credit Support area in documenting and booking loans.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on credit policies and procedures.
• Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations for management review.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field plus two years of experience or equivalent. Candidates must have a clean credit report, pass background check and bond ability requirement.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts including cash flow analysis, underwriting, and tax implications.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
