A client of ours, an automotive and industrial battery manufacturer operating in St. Joseph is hiring Maintenance Mechanics for 2nd and 3rd shift. This is a direct hire, permanent position with real growth potential and a stable, established employer.
Pay and Schedule
- $33.79 to $36.00 per hour based on experience
- 2nd shift: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, plus $1.00/hr shift differential
- 3rd shift: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday, plus $2.00/hr shift differential
- Overtime and weekend work available
What You Will Do
- Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on production equipment
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, motors, hoses, and valves
- Work on single phase and 3 phase motors, VFDs, and motor control circuitry
- Troubleshoot PLC hardware and ladder logic
- Repair and maintain conveyors and pallet lifts
- Read and work from schematics and blueprints
- Fabricate and rebuild parts using shop machines
What You Bring
- 3 to 5 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Hands-on knowledge of 120, 208, and 480 volt circuits
- Experience with conveyors, PLCs, and motor controls
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice to Have
- Shop machine experience (lathe, mill, drill press, grinder)
- Hydraulics and pneumatics background
Background check, drug screen, and non-DOT physical required.
