Electromechanical Assembler
Pay Rate: $18–$20/hour
Location: Worcester, MA Area
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electromechanical Assembler to join a manufacturing team on first shift. This hands-on position involves assembling and testing electronic and mechanical components using hand tools and soldering techniques.
The ideal candidate will have good manual dexterity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed assembly instructions. Previous manufacturing or soldering experience is preferred but not required, as training may be provided to qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, connect, mount, and secure electronic and electromechanical components according to specifications.
- Perform hand soldering to assemble and connect small components.
- Use a variety of hand tools and production equipment to complete assembly and testing tasks.
- Follow detailed work instructions, procedures, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform quality checks to ensure completed products meet established standards.
- Complete repairs and rework as needed.
- Report assembly or equipment issues to a supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Care for and maintain tools and equipment.
- Perform additional production duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous soldering experience or formal soldering training is preferred.
- Ability to successfully complete required soldering training or certification.
- Strong hand dexterity and ability to work with small components.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, fabrication procedures, and basic wiring diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks accurately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.
- No office software experience is required.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to sit at a workbench for extended periods.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move between workstations as needed.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to perform repetitive soldering and assembly tasks.
- Requires frequent visual attention when working with small components and inspecting finished products.
- Work may involve exposure to typical manufacturing conditions, including heat, dust, and other minor environmental factors.
- Must be able to follow workplace safety procedures.
