We are currently seeking a talented Reefer Technician to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for the duties below.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on generator sets, reefer trailers and electrical systems.
- Accurately perform standard level repairs to company and manufacturer's specifications, complete work orders, and demonstrate understanding of company requirements for standard repair times.
- Remove Gen sets from chassis for repairs and transports as needed.
- Standard use of a cutting torch and welding, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment.
- Perform diagnostics and repair starting and charging system, cooling and re-charge, and electrical including common fault codes
- Responsible for replacing components such as condenser coils, copper tubing, etc using acetylene welding equipment.
- Repairs include performing leak detection procedures, compressor replacements, soldering refrigerant lines, evaporator/condenser replacements.
- Perform pre-trip inspections on Reefer Containers and Gen-Sets.
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 1-2 year of experience repairing and maintaining mechanical engines Gensets and 1- 3 year of experience repairing industrial refrigeration or container refrigeration.
- Refrigeration or HVAC certification preferred.
- Stick and MIG Welding experience or certifications preferred.
- Must have the ability to analyze and understand Schematics and Wiring Diagrams (electrical circuits).
- Must have knowledge Troubleshooting Electrical Alternating Current (AC) & Direct Current (DC).
