We are seeking an experienced Director of Patient Access & Revenue Cycle Services to lead hospital-wide Patient Access and Revenue Cycle operations. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys working across departments, improving processes, developing teams, and using data to drive measurable results.
Lead and oversee Patient Access and Revenue Cycle teams, including registration and hospital-based revenue cycle functions.
Set clear performance expectations and ensure teams meet or exceed established KPIs and financial goals.
Monitor metrics such as registration accuracy, wait times, denial rates, collections, and bill hold days.
Identify revenue cycle issues, determine root causes, and partner with Finance, Coding, Billing, Clinical, Revenue Integrity, and IT to implement solutions.
Lead initiatives focused on denial reduction, revenue capture, upfront collections, and patient financial communication.
Use Epic dashboards, reports, and work queues to monitor performance and improve registration accuracy and collections.
Lead revenue cycle meetings and present KPI and financial performance reports to senior leadership.
Oversee compliance with federal and state regulations, including Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire (MSPQ) requirements and Charity Care programs.
Ensure staff receive appropriate training, education, and annual competency requirements.
Manage staffing, budgeting, employee development, performance management, and day-to-day department operations.
Lead process improvement and change initiatives that improve efficiency, financial performance, and the patient experience.
Build strong relationships with leadership, physicians, clinical teams, and frontline staff.

Has experience leading Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, or hospital operations.
Is comfortable working with KPIs and using data to drive improvements.
Can identify problems and consistently develop solutions.
Can clearly explain the "why" behind metrics and performance expectations.
Works well with both senior leadership and frontline employees.
Is comfortable leading change and holding teams accountable.
Has strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Knowledge of hospital registration and Patient Access
Knowledge of federal/non-federal billing regulations and state programs such as Charity Care
Medical terminology and strong computer skills
Preferred:
5+ years of management/leadership experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Epic and hospital revenue cycle experience
Experience managing KPIs and process improvement initiatives
