Multi-State Organization | Private Equity-Backed | High-Growth Environment

Are you a hands-on accounting leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments? Do you have experience building scalable processes, leading multi-location teams, and supporting M& A integration? If so, this could be a standout opportunity. A private equity-backed, multi-state operating company is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead the accounting function during an exciting period of expansion through both acquisitions and greenfield growth. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who can bring structure, standardization, and strategic financial oversight across a growing platform.

What you’ll own:

• Monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities and locations
• Consolidated financial reporting, board packages, KPI dashboards, and lender reporting
• GAAP compliance, internal controls, and multi-state accounting consistency
• Leadership and development of accounting teams across locations
• M& A accounting integration, systems alignment, and playbook development
• Accounting infrastructure for new site launches
• Audit, tax, treasury, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives
• ERP optimization and scalability efforts, including strong NetSuite usage

What we’re looking for:

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 3+ years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role
• Strong background in multi-entity / multi-location accounting
• Experience in private equity-backed organizations strongly preferred
• M& A due diligence and post-acquisition integration experience
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and multi-state tax compliance
• Advanced Excel and ERP exposure
• CPA preferred
