Job Description

Join a high-precision manufacturing team as a Machine Operator working Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. In this role, you set up and operate extrusion and related production equipment, ensure product quality through accurate measurement and inspection, and maintain a clean, safe environment in a GMP-compliant cleanroom setting.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and size extrusion lines according to production specifications and standard operating procedures.
  • Set up, run, and troubleshoot downstream equipment to maintain consistent production flow and product quality.
  • Set up, run, and troubleshoot programmable or automated production and measurement equipment.
  • Use measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers to measure finished pieces and verify they meet required specifications.
  • Identify non-conforming product, implement appropriate corrective actions, and promptly report issues to the immediate supervisor.
  • Perform quality control activities including inspection, labeling, and packaging of finished products.
  • Interpret blueprints or production drawings to ensure accurate machine setup and product output.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment, including cleanroom and manufacturing areas, in accordance with GMP and SOP requirements.
  • Comply with all safety, quality, and manufacturing standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Handle general production and assembly tasks, including use of hand tools and mechanical equipment such as press brakes and heat shrink tools as needed.
  • Support general labor and manufacturing activities to keep production running efficiently.
  • Assist with machine operation, basic mechanical adjustments, and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime.
  • Follow documented SOPs and production instructions to ensure consistent and compliant operations.
  • Perform inspections throughout the production process to detect defects or deviations from specifications.
  • Complete other duties as assigned to support production goals and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and work with mechanical systems and tools.
  • Experience with machine operation in a manufacturing or production setting.
  • Ability to set up and operate extrusion lines and related equipment, or a strong willingness and capacity to learn.
  • Proficiency using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers to verify product dimensions.
  • Ability to follow GMP and SOP requirements in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for production machinery and automated equipment.
  • Capability to perform assembly and general production tasks safely and accurately.
  • Comfort working around machinery in a cleanroom and manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail for inspection, quality control, labeling, and packaging.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints or production specifications.
  • Reliable availability to work Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including steel-toe footwear.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in extrusion processes and downstream equipment operation.
  • Experience in assembly or automotive technician work that demonstrates hands-on mechanical skills.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom procedures and GMP-compliant environments.
  • Experience with heat shrink, press brake, and general manufacturing equipment.
  • Comfort using hand tools and working in general labor or general production roles.
  • Knowledge of quality control practices, including inspection and documentation.
  • Ability to work with production and measurement equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and mechanically inclined approach to troubleshooting.
  • Experience with labeling, packaging, and inspection in a production setting.

Work Environment

You work in a cleanroom and GMP-regulated manufacturing environment, spending most of your time around operating machinery and production equipment. The facility follows strict cleanliness, safety, and quality standards, and you are expected to adhere to all SOPs and guidelines. The role is performed on-site during a fixed Monday through Friday shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Steel-toe footwear is required, and you may use various hand tools and mechanical equipment while working in production and general manufacturing areas.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Easton, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
