Job Description

This role focuses on assembling products to precise specifications in a clean aerospace environment. You will use hand and power tools to build, inspect, and troubleshoot mechanical assemblies while following documented work instructions and ISO 9001 guidelines. The position offers both first and second shift schedules with a shift differential for second shift.

Responsibilities

  • Build assemblies according to print specifications and work instructions to meet required due dates while adhering to ISO 9001 regulations and guidelines.
  • Receive and accurately document the receipt of component parts such as screws, stem covers, housing tubes, actuator tubes, and boots into the work cell.
  • Use various hand and power tools safely and effectively to assemble, install, and repair components as required.
  • Perform parts inspection and quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions to complete mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and correct defects or issues identified in the assembly process to maintain product quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with facility and aerospace standards.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of tools and equipment, and report any hazards or issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members and support production line activities to achieve daily and weekly output goals.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven experience utilizing hand and power tools in a production or assembly environment.
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions accurately.
  • Experience with general labor and production line or assembly line work.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Ability to perform parts inspection and inspection of assemblies to ensure quality.
  • Capability to read and use basic measuring tools such as a tape measure.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and fix defects in the assembly process.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to work assigned shift hours reliably and consistently.
  • Ability to provide and present a valid government-issued ID to access a secured facility.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working in a clean or aerospace, medical device, or similarly regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 regulations and guidelines in a production setting.
  • Experience reading and working from blueprints or technical drawings.
  • quality checks or quality control within a production environment.
  • Comfort working with both hand and power tools for installation and repair tasks.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced production environment and meet due dates.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage components and documentation within a work cell.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean aerospace environment that follows strict cleanliness, safety, and quality standards. You will work in a secured facility that requires a valid government-issued ID to enter. The position operates on a shift schedule, with a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and a second shift from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with a shift differential offered for the second shift. Work involves standing at a workstation or production line, handling mechanical components, and using a variety of hand and power tools, measuring tools such as tape measures, and other standard assembly equipment. The environment is production-focused, with clear work instructions and ISO 9001 processes guiding daily activities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
