Junior Interior Design Assistant Part-Time

About the Position
Toni Mroz Interiors is looking for a creative, organized, and dependable junior interior design assistant. This is a hands-on position supporting residential and commercial projects throughout the Nashville area.
The ideal candidate has a natural eye for design, enjoys sourcing beautiful pieces, and is also comfortable handling the organizational details that keep projects moving. This is a wonderful opportunity for a current interior-design student, recent graduate, or someone early in their design career who wants real-world experience and room to grow.
Responsibilities
- Source furniture, lighting, rugs, wallpaper, artwork, and accessories
- Create digital design boards and product lists
- Request pricing, quotes, samples, and product information from vendors
- Organize client files, measurements, selections, receipts, and order details
- Track orders, shipping updates, backorders, and deliveries
- Assist with client presentations and Canva documents
- Help prepare for client meetings, site visits, and installations
- Communicate professionally with vendors, showrooms, and trades
- Assist with styling and installation days
- Complete general administrative tasks as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently studying interior design or recently graduated from a design-related program
- Strong sense of style with an understanding of color, scale, and space
- Highly organized, dependable, and attentive to detail
- Comfortable using or learning DesignFiles, Canva, Pinterest, Google Docs, and Google Sheets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to manage multiple projects and follow through on assigned tasks
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local site visits
- Able to lift and move smaller furnishings, samples, and accessories
- Experience with floor plans, measurements, or design software is helpful but not required
Schedule
Approximately 15–20 hours per week, primarily during weekday business hours. Some flexibility will be available, but occasional client meetings, site visits, and installation days will require an in-person presence.
Compensation
$20–$25 per hour, based on education and experience. The position will begin with a paid 30-day trial period, with the potential to become a long-term role and grow alongside the company.
