Federal Construction Superintendent

Job Description:

Global Go, LLC is staffing up for a USACE contract to repair Barracks Building 399, Section D at Fort Benning, and we need a hands-on Superintendent to run daily field operations. Scope includes exterior wall, window, and door repairs; fire protection; interior finishes and ceilings; plumbing; HVAC and controls; electrical service/distribution; building information systems; flat roof repairs near the stairwells; site work; and coordinated HAZMAT (asbestos and lead-based paint) abatement. You'll be formally named as project Superintendent (resume submitted to the government at the preconstruction conference) and will manage trade crews, sequencing, and site logistics on an active military installation, keeping the project safe, on schedule, and built to spec across the 840-calendar-day performance period.

What You'll Do:

• Direct day-to-day field operations, subcontractor scheduling, and manpower coordination, including HAZMAT abatement subcontractors
• Maintain and update the CPM-based 3-week look-ahead schedule in coordination with the Project Manager
• Enforce site safety in partnership with the SSHO per the project's Accident Prevention Plan and EM 385-1-1
• Coordinate quality control inspections, Three-Phase Control meetings, and punch list walks with the QC Manager
• Manage material deliveries, laydown areas, and site logistics within Fort Benning access control requirements
• Maintain daily QC/production reports and photo documentation
• Interface directly with the government's Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and QA staff on field conditions and progress
• Ensure work sequencing accounts for occupied/adjacent-building constraints typical of barracks renovation work

What You Bring:

• 5–10+ years as a Superintendent on federal, military, or large commercial renovation projects
• Barracks, dormitory, or occupied multi-unit renovation experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 (USACE Safety and Health Requirements Manual)
• OSHA 30-Hour certification required
• Ability to pass NCIC-III/TSDB vetting for unescorted installation access
• Strong ability to read plans/specs and coordinate multiple trades, including abatement subcontractors, simultaneously
• CPR/First Aid certification a plus
• Prior experience overseeing asbestos/lead abatement coordination is a plus
