Position Overview
Join our team as a Sr. Manufacturing Process Engineer and play a key role in advancing manufacturing excellence. You'll lead high-impact projects, identify best practices, analyze operational data, and implement innovative process improvements that drive productivity, quality, and sustainable growth throughout the plant. You will ensure the detailed design of components leading to a manufacturable product that will deliver the desired features, cost, quality and experience to the paddler. Essential Responsibilities
·Define and implement projects that will improve operational efficiencies and drive down cost
· Design, implement and direct manufacturing materials and processes to achieve the most the most efficient, cost effective and high-quality production possible, in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, using a Design for Manufacturing approach (DFM)
·Lead diversification projects from Quote to Scale-up
·Drive continuous improvements by applying lean techniques to work cells, organizing Kaizen activities, and promoting 5S Kanban pull systems to eliminate waste in the value stream
·Estimating Production or project costs
·Create/modify 3D models & drawings for part/products designs
·Key communicator to stakeholders regarding project activities and status
·Collaborate with Operations and Quality to manage process changes in a controlled manner
·Formulate and execute design packages that will improve safety and operability of Plant processes
·Provide Engineering support for solving operations problems as they occur
·Participates in make/buy decisions to determine the most cost-effective way to manufacture kayaks
·Establish process control parameters and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), setting production standards that optimize First Pass Quality (FPQ) and yield
·Analyzes space requirements and workflow and designs the layout of equipment and workstations to ensure maximum efficiency and an ergonomically sound work environment
·Assist and facilitate in product deviations
·Evaluate processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations
· Provide engineering support for all quality-related issues
·Manages the release and ongoing maintenance of production drawings, including engineering change updates, document control activities, and coordination with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing operations.
·Completes other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
·Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
·5+ years Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
·Proficiency in SolidWorks is strongly preferred, with ability to develop, refine, and validate complex product designs
·Demonstrated ability in proven success with equipment-related root cause analysis and implementation of successful solutions
·Strong analytical thinking and data interpretation
·Relies on work experience and judgement to accomplish goals
·Continuous improvement mindset is a must
·Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization
·Must be independently motivated and able to work without detailed direction
·Ability to focus and perform in a fast-paced environment
·Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio)
·Travel may be required up to 10%
