Chandler’s Roofing has been a family-operated South Bay roofing contractor since 1942. We are a GAF Master Elite, IB Roof Systems Tier 1, and CertainTeed ShingleMaster contractor serving residential, multifamily, and commercial customers across Los Angeles and Orange County from our Gardena shop. We provide the leads. You run the estimate and help the homeowner decide.
About the Role:
You are the person who meets the customer, measures the roof, builds an accurate estimate, and stays in touch until the job is sold and handed to production. This is field work plus follow-up, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday appointments. This position requires going to projects daily, taking measurements, preparing figures for contract and working with clients until they say YES.

What you will do:
• Measure residential and commercial roofs accurately and prepare estimates from those measurements.
• Meet homeowners and property managers on site; explain scope, materials, and price in plain language.
• Work the leads Chandler’s provides we do not require you to generate your own book of business.
• Coordinate with team members on proposals, change orders, and handoff to the production team.
• Follow company and Cal/OSHA safety rules on every job site, including fall protection, ladder use, and heat-illness prevention.
• Represent the company with a reliable, customer-first attitude.
What you bring:
• At least 3 years of roofing experience.
• Demonstrated ability to measure a roof and produce a usable estimate.
• A hard-working, self-starting, reliable approach and a professional customer-service manner.
• Willingness to work full-time Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. as a minimum schedule, plus overtime as business requires, and some Saturdays.
• Ability to drive to customer sites throughout Los Angeles and Orange County during the workday, and to transport ladders and measuring equipment. A personal truck is preferred.
• Spanish/English bilingual skill is a plus; it is not required.
Schedule, pay, and time off
• Full-time, non-exempt.
• Base pay of $740 per week plus commission, with overtime paid under California law.
• Five (5) days of paid vacation after one year of employment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb ladders (safety equipment provided)
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Work in environments with high noise levels
- Drive to client and job sites as needed
