About the Role:
Academy of Excellence Learning Center in Lancaster, CA is looking for a passionate and nurturing Infant Teacher to join our dedicated early childhood team! Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, compassionate daily care for infants including feeding, diapering, and soothing
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, and physical development
- Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment that meets licensing standards
- Observe and document infant milestones and developmental progress
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's daily activities and growth
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation protocols in accordance with state childcare regulations
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience working with infants in a childcare or early education setting
- At least 15 units in ECE including infant and toddler
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of infant development milestones and developmentally appropriate practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with families
- Must pass a background check and meet California Community Care Licensing requirements
- Patient, warm, and dependable with a genuine love for working with infants
