Structural Engineer

Triumph Engineering & Design, Inc. (TED) is currently searching for a talented licensed Structural Engineer in the State of Michigan. The job opening is a full time, permanent position at our office located in Grand Blanc, MI.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
With limited supervision, provide the technical, organizational and communication skills to produce well-designed and coordinated construction documents for structural systems. As an engineer with TED, you must have engineering experience related to building condition evaluation, structural rehabilitation and design. You must have experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete and masonry design.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and review structural engineering calculations
• Analyzes and designs the structural components of a building system or other structure
• Provide technical guidance to structural AutoCAD/Revit designers in the preparation of design models and drawings
• Assist in developing project structural requirements, conducting field surveys, and developing construction documents
• Versatile in performing design and/or analysis for steel, concrete, masonry, or timber framing systems.
• Coordinates with the other design disciplines in the delivery of structural designs
• Performs services during construction, including responding to RFI's, reviewing submittals, and performing field observations
  

Other requirements for the position include:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. Master's degree preferred
• A minimum of 5-years experience
• Professional Registration a positive
• Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills
