Certified Teacher

At LearnWell, we are committed to changing the lives of the 10 million students in the U.S. who are dealing with behavioral health issues. For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. With a network of over 200 educators, we strive to make a positive impact for generations to come.

Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Boston, MA for the school year.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.

We have several teaching opportunities available throughout the area:

• Boston Children’s Hospital:Flexible 1:1 bedside tutoring for school-aged children and adolescents, Monday–Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (No benefits provided)
• Boston Float:Full-time travel between Waltham, Boston, Somerville, Chestnut Hill, and Needham, with mileage reimbursement.
• Concord:Part-time role working with adolescents, Monday–Friday from 1:00–5:00 p.m.
• North Shore Float:Full-time travel between Concord, Amesbury, Lowell, Salem, and Methuen, with mileage reimbursement.
• South Shore Float:Full-time travel between Norwell, Pembroke, Middleborough, and Dedham, with mileage reimbursement.
• Special Education Teacher:Full-time role in Westborough working with K–12 students.
• Holyoke Teacher: TwoFull-time roles in Holyoke working with K-12 Students.
• Providence, RI: Part-time role working with adolescents, Monday–Friday from 9:00 a.m–1:00 p.m.

Qualifications:

• B.A/B.S degree from an accredited institution
• MA Teaching Certification
• Comfortable working with K-12 aged students

LearnWell provides an integrated set of academic services for students throughout the continuum of care to address emerging mental health needs, promote academic wellness during treatment, and support the transition back to the school environment following treatment. Across the country we partner with hospitals and treatment facilities, K-12 school districts, and families to support mental health wellness.
