On behalf of our client, a growing telecommunications infrastructure provider, we are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Project Coordinator. This position serves as a critical financial control point, bridging the gap between field construction operations, accounting departments, and General Contractor (GC) networks.
In this role, you will take ownership of project financial tracking, invoice approvals, contractor payment reconciliations, and customer billing dispute resolutions. Our client is looking for a structured coordinator who can quickly master the financial dynamics of linear infrastructure builds, unit-rate contractor billing, and pass-through construction costs. If you possess sharp Excel skills, a low tolerance for financial discrepancies, and a strong background in project finance, this role offers an immediate platform to drive operational impact.
Key Responsibilities
- GC Billing Reconciliation: Audit, process, and reconcile incoming invoices from General Contractors (GCs), verifying that line items align strictly with executed master service agreements, unit rates, and field progress reports.
- Customer Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve customer billing issues and financial inquiries. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to pinpoint root causes, execute adjustments, and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Invoicing & Budget Tracking: Track and approve construction and operational invoices, maintaining meticulous records to guarantee all project expenditures remain within approved budgets and timelines.
- Financial Ledger & Project Oversight: Preserve clean, audit-ready records of all project financial transactions, including vendor payments, accounts receivable receipts, credit adjustments, and pass-through costs.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Work hand in hand with Construction Managers (CMs) and Project Managers to track real-time build progress and address budget variances before they impact financial performance.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate current project financial workflows to identify inefficiencies, implementing streamlined processes that elevate billing accuracy and cycle times.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Financial Acumen: Demonstrated hands-on track record managing financial reconciliations, project cost tracking, vendor invoice auditing, and billing administration.
- Analytical Problem-Solving: Superior data analysis capabilities with a proven ability to reconcile complex financial matrices and isolate subtle billing discrepancies.
- Software Competency: Strong proficiency within the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically utilizing advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data reconciliation) alongside enterprise financial systems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with General Contractors, Construction Managers, executive leadership, and customers.
- Detail Orientation & Adaptability: Meticulous attention to financial detail paired with the agility to learn new industry-specific terminology and processes quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct professional experience within the Fiber Optic Telecommunications or civil infrastructure construction sectors is preferred.
