Field Service Technician – Packaging & Conveyor Systems

Position Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Field Service Technician to support the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of packaging and conveyor equipment.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with machinery and solving problems in the field. The role is heavily mechanical, with a strong focus on keeping automated packaging and conveyor systems operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.
You will spend part of your time at the facility in Elk Grove Village and approximately 40% of your time traveling to customer locations to troubleshoot equipment, perform repairs, assist with installations, and help customers keep their production lines moving.
What You'll Do
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain packaging and conveyor equipment
Diagnose mechanical issues involving conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, drives, and related components
Perform equipment adjustments, modifications, and mechanical repairs
Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities
Travel to customer facilities to provide on-site technical support
Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify the root cause of failures
Work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve equipment problems
Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, layouts, manuals, and equipment documentation
Maintain accurate service reports and document work performed
Provide customers with guidance on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
