Overview

We are seeking a Field Technical Specialist to support a large-scale healthcare technology deployment and workstation implementation project. This role will provide hands-on technical support to clinical and administrative staff while assisting with hardware installations, workstation setup, troubleshooting, and go-live support activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, desktop support experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This position requires travel between local sites and direct interaction with end users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide desktop and field support for end users in a healthcare environment
  • Install, configure, and deploy desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, and peripheral devices
  • Set up and configure new workstations
  • Perform software installations and updates
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, login, and connectivity issues
  • Reset passwords and manage basic Active Directory account support
  • Add users to security groups and configure access permissions
  • Map network drives and network printers
  • Re-image and deploy laptops and desktop systems
  • Perform hardware replacements and equipment swaps
  • Test and support VoIP phone installations
  • Assist with deployment, go-live, and user support activities
  • Maintain accurate ticket documentation and resolution notes
  • Provide exceptional customer service while supporting clinical and administrative personnel
Required Qualifications
  • Experience providing desktop or help desk support
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows-based environments
  • Experience supporting Microsoft applications and common business software
  • Knowledge of computer imaging and workstation deployment
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between local sites
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting healthcare environments
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
  • Active Directory administration experience
  • Network troubleshooting and connectivity support
  • Experience with large-scale hardware deployments

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Killeen, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
