Lead Residential Service Electrician

Harris Electrical Contractors is looking for an experienced Residential Service Electrician to join our growing service team.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for an electrician who can independently run a service truck, diagnose electrical problems, communicate professionally with homeowners, provide repair and upgrade options, and complete high-quality electrical work.

The right person is both a skilled electrician and a strong communicator. You should be comfortable walking into a customer's home, identifying the problem, explaining what you found, presenting appropriate solutions, and completing the work correctly and efficiently.

• Run residential electrical service calls independently

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems

• Perform electrical repairs and installations

• Panel replacements and service upgrades

• Breakers, circuits, receptacles, switches and lighting

• EV charger installations

• Generator and transfer switch related work

• Troubleshoot power loss, tripping breakers and electrical faults

• Identify electrical and safety concerns while performing service calls

• Provide homeowners with clear repair and upgrade options

• Explain recommendations without high-pressure sales tactics

• Complete approved work efficiently and professionally

• Maintain accurate job notes, photos and documentation

• Keep an organized and properly stocked service truck

• Maintain a clean work area and respect customers' homes

• Follow NEC requirements and company safety procedures

• Help train and develop less-experienced electricians when needed

We're looking for an experienced residential electrician who can own the entire service call from diagnosis through completion.

Strong candidates will have:

• 5+ years of electrical experience preferred

• Strong residential service and troubleshooting experience

• Ability to work independently without constant supervision

• Strong understanding of residential electrical systems and the NEC

• Experience with panels, services, troubleshooting, circuits, lighting and electrical upgrades

• Ability to clearly communicate electrical problems and solutions to homeowners

• Professional appearance and customer-service skills

• Ability to present multiple repair or upgrade options when appropriate

• Good organizational and time-management skills

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

An electrical license is a plus but is not required for the right experienced electrician.

This position offers a guaranteed base with performance-based earning opportunities.

Our compensation structure rewards electricians who provide excellent service, produce quality work and take care of customers.

Experienced, high-performing service electricians have the opportunity to earn $70,000–$100,000+ per year.

Additional earning opportunities are available through production, sales and performance incentives.
