TITLE:Feed Milltruck driver
REPORTS TO: Feed Mill Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
This positionis responsible forthe safe, efficient, and reliable transportation and delivery of manufactured feed and other feed products. Brand new automatic trucks will be provided.Responsibilities will include transportation and delivery according to specifications, understanding of HACCP requirements, and guidelines including the importance of SOP’s andBiosecurity. Other duties include quality control, vehicle and equipment maintenance, and customer service. This position will alsoassistthe Mill Operator with daily operationsas needed.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Operateacompany-owned feed truck to deliver feed fromthefeed mill to production facilities and otherdestinations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment daily and documentchecks.
- Unload feed at the correct destination and correct bin
- Complete andmaintainrequired paperwork accurately andpromptly(electronic logs, scale tickets, physical forms, etc.)
- Safely perform all dutiesandcomply withall company safetypolicies.
- Comply withallbiosecurity rules.
- Report truck and equipment maintenance issuesimmediatelytoyour direct supervisor, and schedule preventative maintenance withthemillmanageronaroutine basis
- Report any incidents, accidents, injuries,or property damageimmediatelytothe mill manager.
- Comply withDOT rules andregulations.
- Ensure the interior and exterior ofthetruckremain asclean as conditionsallow.
- Perform cleaning duties listed out in standard work and as requested by the supervisor,
- Maintains and ensures the safety of all employees and assets of the company.
- Maintains and ensures the orderliness and housekeeping ofallareas of the feed mill.
- Responsible forfollowingall environmental laws.
- Report all environmental issuesimmediatelyto their supervisor.
- Performs other duties as defined by manager/shift supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 year of driving experience preferredbut may be willing to train the right individual.
- Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Able to read and speak English.
- Minimalcomputer skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude a plus.
- Ability to handle “on the road” situations that develop from time to time (mud, snow, ice)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able tofrequentlyclimb over, under, and around feed mill areasand on trucks andbins.
- Must be able to walk and stand on concrete and unpaved areas for longerperiods.
- Must be able tolift up50 lbs.
- Must be willing to learn and perform the different areas of the feed mill process.
- Must be able to work with and around a wide range of chemicals and different feed ingredients.
- Ability to work at 15’ heights and climb laddersoccasionally
- Will work in wet and/or humid conditions, and around fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, and cold.
- Must be able to work effectively with others in a team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00- $29.00 per hour

Schedule:2nd shift and will end as a Monday-Friday position starting at 4:00 pm and ending between 12:00 am and 2:00 am.? However, the schedule will be fluid as the mill evolves and work demand increases.
