Work Location: This position will be based at our Bethany, MO location.

Hours: 40 hours per week, including Saturday rotation

Job Purpose: Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for the Bank's loan operations functions, including Secondary Market, Loan Administration, Loan Origination, and TRID/Escrow departments. This position is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, quality control, and exceptional customer service while supporting the strategic goals of the Bank. The Assistant Loan Operations Director collaborates with department managers and officers to promote consistency, process improvement, team development, and effective execution of loan operations initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct leadership and supervision to the Secondary Market, Loan Administration, Loan Origination, and TRID/Escrow Managers and Officers
  • Assist the Loan Operations Director in planning, directing, and coordinating loan operations activities across all departments.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable banking regulations, investor requirements, Bank policies, and operational procedures.
  • Promote consistency and efficiency across loan operations workflows and processes.
  • Partner with Lending, Compliance, Information Technology, and Retail Banking departments to support organizational objectives.
  • Monitor operational performance, service levels, quality standards, and departmental metrics.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions to increase efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to department managers and staff.
  • Assist with budgeting, staffing, succession planning, and resource allocation for loan operations functions.
  • Support system implementations, upgrades, testing, and process enhancements.
  • Assist with internal audits, examinations, compliance reviews, and corrective action efforts.
  • Ensure procedures, job aids, and operational documentation remain current and effective.
  • Participate in strategic planning and special projects as assigned.
  • Serve as a resource for management and staff regarding loan operations questions and initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in loan operations, mortgage processing, loan servicing, secondary market, loan administration, or related banking functions, preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience required.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Working knowledge of TRID, RESPA, mortgage lending regulations, investor requirements, and loan servicing practices.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with loan operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and related banking technology.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly.
