We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night-shift position in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. The Respiratory Therapist will provide safe, effective respiratory care and respond to patient-care needs in an acute healthcare setting.
Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities
- Perform respiratory assessments, lung-capacity testing, blood-gas analysis, and EKGs as ordered.
- Deliver ordered respiratory therapies and monitor, document, and communicate patient response.
- Respond to codes and emergent calls during the night shift.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and device use.
- Maintain respiratory supplies, medical-gas cylinders, equipment readiness, and storage areas.
- Clean, sterilize, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on respiratory equipment.
- Follow respiratory-care policies, patient-safety standards, and quality-improvement practices.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in North Carolina.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current PALS certification.
- Current NRP certification.
- Ability to work an on-site night-shift Respiratory Therapist schedule in Rutherfordton, NC.
