We’re on the lookout for dependable, hardworking Prep Cooks to help us serve up the quality, consistency, and speed our customers love.

As a Prep Cook at Murphy’s, you’ll play a critical role in setting our kitchen up for success. Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

• Ingredient Preparation: Slice, dice, chop, measure, and portion ingredients like meats, cheeses, vegetables, and sauces according to Murphy’s recipes and standards.
• Fresh Produce Prep: Handle onions, peppers, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, and other fresh produce to perfection.
• Recipe Execution: Prepare house sauces and toppings for cheesesteaks, burgers, breakfast items, appetizers, and more.
• Stocking and Rotation: Label, date, and store food properly while following FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
• Kitchen Support: Keep prep areas, utensils, and equipment clean and sanitized, and assist Line Cooks and other team members as needed.
• Team Collaboration: Monitor prep levels, communicate with the team, and ensure everything is ready before the rush hits.

Your work will ensure that every cheesesteak we serve is fresh, consistent, and delicious!

We’re searching for someone who is dependable, organized, and takes pride in doing things right. Here’s what makes a great Prep Cook at Murphy’s:

• Experience: At least 1 year of restaurant or food-prep experience is preferred. However, we’re open to training someone with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Skills: Ability to follow recipes, use knives and kitchen equipment safely, and work efficiently on your feet.
• Reliability: Punctuality and dependability are crucialwhen prep isn’t done on time, the whole kitchen feels it.
• Team Player: You’re ready to jump in and help your teammates whenever needed.

• Pay: $15.00–$17.00 per hour, based on experience, availability, and demonstrated skills.
• Schedule: Full-time and part-time positions are available, with a focus on morning and daytime availability. Some evening and weekend shifts may also be available depending on restaurant needs.

Specific schedules will be discussed during the interview.
