Job Title: Imaging Lab Tech

Location: Durham, NC, US, 27713

Duration : 12months (Contract)

Pay Rate: $22 hr on W2

Shift: 8:00 am-5:00pm

Job Summary

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Must Have

  • • Associate's degree in science or related field. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills and technologies.

Nice To Have

• Experience operating precision imaging equipment, industrial machinery, or laboratory equipment. • Experience working in a laboratory, manufacturing, or prototype development environment. • Experience with problem-solving. • Experience with CAD software and/or digital model review tools. • Technical education, certifications, or equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to imaging, manufacturing, engineering, or laboratory operations

RESPONSIBILITIES

Imaging & Analysis

  • Assist with the operation of an industrial computed tomography (CT) scanner and complementary imaging technologies in support of medical product development.
  • Develop proficiency in imaging systems, acquisition techniques, and analysis methods used to support BD's product portfolio.
  • Potential for basic post-processing of imaging data acquired from CT and other imaging systems using Volume Graphics, Geomagic, Mimics,and/or equivalent software platforms.

·Assist in documentation and creating reports of analysis findings.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance team processes, laboratory operations, and overall team effectiveness.
  • Perform work in accordance with work instructions, BD safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Support additional laboratory and project activities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Associate's degree in science or related field.

Hands-On Technical Aptitude

  • Enjoys working in a laboratory environment and performing hands-on technical tasks.
  • Safe use of precision hand tools and light fabrication equipment to create, modify, and assemble custom fixtures for scans. Examples include X-Acto knives, utility knives, precision blades, small electric drills, rotary tools (e.g., Dremel), and measuring tools such as calipers.
