Job Title: Laborer – Midnight Shift ManufacturingJob Description

Join a fast-paced manufacturing team as a dependable laborer on the midnight shift. In this role, you support production operations across the plant by performing a variety of general labor tasks, operating equipment with provided training, and helping ensure products are safely and efficiently processed, packaged, and shipped. The position is physically demanding and hands-on, ideal for individuals who enjoy active work in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate production equipment, including the JL and Ross lines, with full training provided.
  • Move materials throughout the facility to support ongoing production activities.
  • Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Wrap and package finished foam products to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Grind and handle scrap foam, ensuring proper disposal or recycling.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including staging, sorting, and organizing materials.
  • Support maintenance projects as needed, following instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Perform plant and equipment cleaning duties to maintain a safe and orderly work area.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation as directed.
  • Follow all safety procedures, policies, and guidelines at all times.
  • Complete additional duties assigned by supervision to support plant operations.
Essential Skills
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, construction, or general labor preferred.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the majority of an 8-hour shift.
  • Comfort working in a physically demanding, fast-paced industrial environment that can be dusty and dirty.
  • Reliable transportation to consistently arrive on time for the midnight shift.
  • Strong attendance record and dependability.
  • Ability to work independently while following instructions and established procedures.
  • Willingness to work the midnight shift schedule: Sunday night through Friday morning, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with general production work, including assembly and machine operating.
  • Familiarity with material handling tasks such as loading, unloading, and packing.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Experience with installation tasks or saw operating in an industrial setting.
  • Comfort operating forklifts or other material handling equipment (if previously trained and certified).
  • Local candidates preferred due to shift schedule and on-site requirements.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility that produces foam products. The industrial environment can be dusty, dirty, and physically demanding, with a fast pace and continuous production activity. You spend much of the shift standing and walking for 4–5 or more hours, frequently lifting materials ranging from 1 to 50 pounds and occasionally heavier items. The work involves bending, reaching, handling materials, operating machinery, and participating in general plant cleanup. Dress typically aligns with industrial safety standards, including appropriate work attire and personal protective equipment as required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Latrobe, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.15 - $17.15/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
