Work Schedule: 25 hours per week, 3 days per week, with consecutive hours scheduled between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Must be available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Job Description:

The Part-Time Junior Administrative Assistant / Mailroom Clerk will primarily be responsible for managing incoming company mail and providing general administrative support. The position will also assist with occasional shipping, filing, scanning, and document-related projects, as well as supporting a short-term office clearance project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, open, sort, scan, and distribute incoming company mail
  • Ensure time-sensitive correspondence is routed to the appropriate individuals or departments
  • Receive and organize occasional equipment and supply shipments
  • Assist with filing, scanning, shredding, and general administrative tasks
  • Prepare and package boxes for shipment to an off-site storage location
  • Handle and organize filing and storage boxes as needed
  • Provide on-site support during an office clearance project, including several full days of coverage
  • Follow established security, confidentiality, and compliance procedures
  • Communicate professionally with internal teams and ask questions when clarification is needed
  • Maintain an organized and professional work environment

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of administrative, mailroom, office services, or related experience
  • Previous experience managing company mail strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently with limited supervision
  • Professional, dependable, and reliable
  • Comfortable lifting and moving filing or storage boxes
  • Able to follow detailed procedures related to security and confidentiality
  • Flexible and available to work full days when needed for special projects
  • Comfortable using basic office technology and completing online training

Additional Details:

  • The position is expected to begin in early October. The selected candidate will complete approximately 1–2 days of required internal training before transitioning into the role independently.
