Our client is a premier, full-service regional multifamily real estate development and construction firm based in Louisville, KY.Position OverviewThis role manages diverse multifamily development projects from initial site identification through final project closing and construction handoff. The successful candidate oversees feasibility analysis, due diligence, entitlements, financing, design coordination, and stakeholder engagement. You will ensure residential communities deliver on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with organizational goals.Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate housing sites through market research and financial assessments.
  • Manage due diligence including environmental, survey, and engineering studies.
  • Develop financial tools including project budgets, schedules, and multifamily pro formas.
  • Secure project financing through debt, equity, grants, and specialized funding applications.
  • Navigate municipal approvals for zoning, entitlements, and required permitting processes.
  • Coordinate design teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and public stakeholders.
  • Monitor project risk from pre-development phases through final financial closing.
  • Create executive reports for company leadership, investors, and project partners.
  • Facilitate smooth handoffs to construction and operational teams at closing.

Position Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Construction, or Urban Planning preferred.
  • Experience: 2 to 6+ years in residential or multifamily real estate development.
  • Financial Skills: Strong competency in multifamily development pro formas and financial modeling.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Proven experience handling zoning, entitlements, and residential land-use regulations.
  • Funding Programs: Familiarity with affordable housing or specialized tax credit programs (like LIHTC) is a plus.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional organizational, analytical, communication, and relationship-management skills.
