Position Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Irvine, CA (Fully Onsite)

Assignment Type: Permanent Hire

Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000 annually

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description:

Addison Group is partnering with a growing financial services organization seeking a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This role offers strong mentorship and long-term growth potential for someone looking to advance into a Senior Accountant position over time.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, motivated to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Candidates should be able to work independently, communicate effectively, and contribute to a collaborative accounting team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances
• Support preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packages
• Maintain accounts receivable activity and monitor outstanding balances
• Track accrued expenses, fixed assets, and lease schedules
• Assist with audit support and regulatory reporting requirements
• Review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls
• Partner with management and accounting team members to resolve accounting issues and improve processes
• Utilize Excel and ERP systems to analyze and maintain financial data

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience within financial services, broker-dealer, or related industries preferred
• Military veterans with accounting experience are strongly encouraged to apply
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus
