Schedule: Monday to Friday,8:30 A.M. –4:00 P.M.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect marine propellers to identify damage, wear, or performance issues.
- Diagnose propeller problems and determine appropriate repair or replacement methods.
- Repair and recondition propellerscondition bygrinding, balancing, and finishing.
- Perform propeller adjustments to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Install and remove propellers on recreational and commercial vessels as needed.
- Operate and maintain shop equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Ensure all work meets established quality, safety, and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and completed work.
- Communicate findings and repair recommendations to supervisors or customers.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Prior experience in marine repair, propeller repair, or a related mechanical field (preferred).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- 2 years of experience using shop toolssuch as grinders is required.
- Knowledge of marine propulsion systems and propeller dynamics (preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and develop specialized propeller repair skills.
